We have been an integral part of the Schaffhausen gastronomy scene since 1986. Already in its second generation, the "Schützenhaus" restaurant is run by Roland Reutimann, who continues the culinary heritage of the Reutimann family with passion and dedication.
Our long-established restaurant is located at Rietstrasse 1 on Breite and is a favourite meeting place for locals and tourists alike. We specialise in hosting a wide variety of events, such as company dinners, banquets and catering for coach tours.
With our many years of experience, we offer you the perfect location for this.
Our premises offer sufficient space for events of all sizes and create an ideal atmosphere to celebrate your special moments in a unique ambience.
Our cuisine is characterised by the good plain Swiss tradition, which we preserve with pride. We attach great importance to the use of regional products in order to always serve you fresh and high-quality dishes. From classic Swiss dishes to innovative interpretations - our varied menu will tantalise every palate.
Everyone is welcome at the Restaurant Schützenhaus, including our younger guests.
We are also wheelchair accessible and offer parking spaces directly at the house.
In the warm summer months, our idyllic garden restaurant awaits you. Enjoy your "Zmittag", "Znacht" or a homemade Caramelköpfli outside and linger in the relaxed atmosphere.

For groups of up to 12 people, you can choose from our à la carte dishes. For larger groups, we ask you to limit yourself to a standardised menu to ensure a smooth service.

News from the Schützenhaus
Winter garden open for groups
Our new conservatory is now available for meetings, conferences and presentations. For bookings, we look forward to hearing from you by telephone, contact form or in person on site. As soon as it gets warmer and the garden restaurant opens, the conservatory will also be open to individual guests.
Optimised lighting
Despite the rain and cold, we are already thinking about cosy times in the garden restaurant. Our partner KFO Elektro has therefore recently extended the outdoor lighting of the shading system. Even more atmospheric summer evenings are guaranteed!
Circus Knie 2025 car park situation
This year, Circus Knie will be performing at Breite during the week from Monday, 24 March to Sunday, 30 March (including assembly and dismantling). During this time, the car parks around our restaurant will be occupied by the circus wagons. As an alternative, we recommend travelling to our restaurant by city bus (lines 3, 4, 7 and 22) to the Schützenhaus stop. Thank you for your understanding!
