Privacy policy

Introduction

The Schützenhaus has published this privacy statement in view of the future revision of the Swiss Data Protection Act (DPA) and the entry into force of the GDPR, the new data protection and confidentiality regulation in the European Union (EU). Although a regulation of the EU, the GDPR is for various reasons of importance for the Schützenhaus relevant, for example: Swiss data protection law is historically closely linked to EU regulation, the expected changes to Swiss data protection law are strongly influenced by the GDPR, and finally, the GDPR imposes high data protection standards with extraterritorial effect and companies outside the EU are bound by these rules under certain conditions.

With this data protection declaration we would like to inform you in detail about the handling of your data.

We reserve the right to change the content of this data protection declaration, in particular if we either provide new or modified services or if changes to the law or jurisdiction make it necessary or expedient to adapt it, provided that the change is made taking into account the legitimate interests of the Schützenhaus is reasonable for the user.

Scope

We process personal data that we receive from our clients in the course of our business relationship. In addition, to the extent necessary for the provision of our service, we process personal data that we permissibly obtain from publicly accessible sources (e.g. commercial register, websites). We use the personal data without further consent exclusively to enable the use of the services offered by us and for the fulfilment and processing of enquiries and registrations as well as orders.

Further personal data will only be collected, processed and used by us with consent if this information is provided voluntarily, for example in the context of an enquiry, search request or for the justification, content-related design or amendment and processing of an order as well as for billing purposes and if this is necessary for the response or processing.

Disclosure

As a matter of principle, we do not pass on personal data, including the address and the e-mail address, to third parties, unless the passing on of the data for the above-mentioned purposes has been expressly consented to or the passing on is expressly permitted or prescribed by law.

Use of the data for the purpose of own consultation, own advertising

We are permitted to collect, process and use your personal data for the purposes of our own consultation, our own advertising, but above all for the needs-based design of the services we offer.

Furthermore, we treat the data confidentially and in accordance with the relevant legal provisions on data protection. We will not forward this data or the content of your messages to third parties without the consent, unless the forwarding of the data for the aforementioned purposes has been expressly consented to or the forwarding is expressly permitted or even required by law.

However, this prohibition of data disclosure does not apply insofar as we are obliged by order of the competent authorities to provide third parties, in particular state authorities, with information on inventory data in individual cases, insofar as this is necessary for the purposes of criminal prosecution or for the enforcement of intellectual property rights and on the basis of other statutory provisions applicable in this respect. No further consent is required for this.

We secure our website and other systems through technical and organisational measures against loss, destruction, access, modification or distribution of your data by unauthorised persons.

Anonymous data collection

Our websites can be visited without providing any personal information. However, every access to our websites and every retrieval of the files stored there is logged and stored in a file. We automatically collect and store in our server log files only the information that the internet browser transmits to us. These are, among others:

We cannot assign this data to specific persons. This data is not merged with other data sources. Subject to any statutory retention obligations, the IP addresses of users are deleted after the end of use. The temporary storage and statistical analysis of data that cannot be assigned to specific users serves only to ensure system security and the security of users' data (e.g. the detection of any faulty links and programme errors as well as attacks on the system).

Integration of third-party services and content

It is possible that third-party content, such as videos from YouTube, map material from GoogleMaps, RSS feeds are integrated on our websites. Technically, this always requires that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as "third-party providers") are able to perceive the IP address of the user, because without determining the IP address, they would not be able to send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore mandatory for the presentation of this content.

Information, correction, blocking and deletion

Within the framework of the existing statutory data protection provisions, you have the right at any time to information about the data stored about you, its origin and recipients as well as the purpose of storage and to correction as well as blocking or deletion of your stored data.
